It was a closed city in the Soviet era due to the rocket plant. Now the rocket museum is one of the highlights. The city is not only famous for its commercial industry, but also its green hills and deep history. The variety of theaters, museums, parks, restaurants and beaches will exceed any expectations of the most sophisticated visitor. Some of the sights are Museum of History, Diorama "Battle for the Dnieper River (WWII), Shevchenko park and Monastyrskiy Island. Dnepropetrovsk is also a very rich city with character, culture, and soul, and has some of the most friendly and kind people you could ever wish to meet.
